Source of Enjoyment
Nurturing a frangipani, or another plant species, while it grows in size and strength year after year can be a great source of pleasure but the first frangipani flower bloom is sure to please both the novice and the experienced gardener.

With each year, each frangipani plant is likely to produce more flower blooms than the previous year. Each of the common varieties have a powerful fragrance and each variety has its own unique  fragrance different to that of other varieties.

Position
If you have a balcony which gets some morning or afternoon sun, you can keep a frangipani in a pot.
To maximize heat, you can move the potted frangipani on the South side of a pool and concreted area or the North side of a brick wall or metal shed.

Frosts will damage the branch tips of a frangipani so planting it under tall trees will offer more protection than being out in the open.

In frost free areas, a frangipani can survive in full sun but it will do just as well in half sun. The intense summer sun can burn frangipani leaves but the intense heat will promote growth.

Water
A frangipani needs both the summer heat and water to grow well. If the soil is very dry in summer, water until the soil cannot hold anymore moisture.  On the other hand, frangipani roots like to dry out between watering. Constant moisture around the roots, which is know as "wet feet", will cause the roots to rot and this rot can spread and kill the whole plant.
The good news is that frangipani plants are drought resistant and can survive long periods without water so "if you're not sure, don't water".

Frangipani Addiction
Many of our customers have childhood memories or previous houses with frangipani trees and hope to surround themselves once again with frangipanis. To everyone else, hope you can experience this feeling one day too.
